ASSISTANCE FROM THE INTERNATIONAL ALLIANCE FOR THE PROTECTION OF CULTURAL HERITAGE (ALIPH FOUNDATION) IN THE CONFLICT ZONE
The war made some changes in the work of Ukrainian cultural institutions, in particular museums.
We, the Territory of Terror Museum team, manage to volunteer, work, and conduct excursions. We stay in Ukraine. One of the fronts of our work is the preservation of our museum and its collections.
We are extremely inspired by the support we receive from our colleagues in Ukraine and from abroad. Since the beginning of the war, many institutions, and also our former visitors have been writing to us, offering their help. This confirms that we are in our place and that we are moving in the right direction! That is why, with this post, we begin a series of publications about how the museum is functioning during the war, and about the old and new partnerships that we have created during this difficult time for Ukraine.
First of all, we`d love to tell you about the International Alliance for the Protection of Cultural Heritage in the Conflict Zone ALIPH Foundation, based in Switzerland. The Foundation provides micro-grants for the protection of cultural heritage in Ukraine and helps museums to preserve their funds. Thanks to the support of the ALIPH Foundation, humanitarian aid has arrived at the Territory of Terror Museum. These are packaging materials, appliances, fireproof cabinets for documents, video surveillance systems, and other necessary equipment.
We are grateful to our colleagues for their support! We are eager to preserve the Ukrainian heritage in Lviv, Ukraine, and the world!
