For the Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Territory of Terror Museum will host the exhibition “Protecting Memory: Mass Burials of the Holocaust in Ukraine”. The project was funded by the German Federal Foreign Offi ce and carried out from 2016 to 2019 by the Foundation Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in close cooperation with the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies (Kyiv). The exhibition will be available for viewing for several weeks.

“After Lviv, the exhibition will go to Rava-Ruska, Lagodov, Rohatyn. Currently, the exhibition is open for individual viewing in compliance with quarantine norms”- the director of the” Territories of Terror “, Olha Honchar.

 

The international project Protecting Memory was established with the aim of transforming the neglected and forgotten mass graves of Jews and Roma into dignified places of remembrance and to provide historical information and preserve the memory of the victims for the present and future.

 

 

The exhibition can be viewed in the barracks №2 of the Memorial Museum of Totalitarian Regimes “Territory of Terror” (Lviv, 45G Chornovola Avenue).
